Boko Haram [apparently] claims responsibility for Nigerian Christmas attacks. “war between Muslims and infidels. This is a religious war.” At least 86 dead, 189 injured in overall violence

From Reuters,

Boko Haram, a radical Islamist sect, said on Tuesday it was behind bombings in central Nigeria and attacks on churches in the northeast of the country that led to the deaths of at least 86 people.

[It] became active in around 2003 and is primarily concentrated in the northern states of Yobe, Kano, Bauchi, Borno and Kaduno.

On July 13, [its leader Abubakar Shekau] issued another statement expressing solidarity with al Qaeda and threatened the United States.

is loosely modelled on the Taliban movement in Afghanistan.

considers anyone not following their strict ideology, whether Christian or Muslim, as infidels. The group demands the adoption of Islamic sharia law in all of Nigeria.

From AFP 1,

The attacks would mark the first time the sect, which launched an uprising last year, had struck outside of the country's predominately Muslim north.

"O nations of the world, be informed that verily the attacks in Suldaniyya (Jos) and Borno on the eve of Christmas was carried out by us, Jama?atu Ahlus-Sunnah Lidda?Awati Wal Jihad [Jama'atu Ahlus-Sunnah Lidda'Awatu Wal Jihad], under the leadership of Abu Muhammad, Abubakar bin Muhammad Shekau (May Allah preserve him)," a statement on the site said.

The attacks were meant "to start avenging the atrocities committed against Muslims in those areas, and the country in general. Therefore we will continue with our attacks on disbelievers and their allies and all those who help them ..."

Jama?atu Ahlus-Sunnah Lidda?Awati Wal Jihad translates roughly to "People Committed to the Prophet's Teachings for Propagation and Jihad."

"Everybody knows about the gruesome murders of Muslims in different parts of Nigeria ... Jos is a testimony to the gruesome killings of our Muslim brethren and the abductions of our women and children whose whereabouts are still unknown ...

"My message to my Muslim brethren is that they should know that this war is a war between Muslims and infidels. This is a religious war."

Abdulrahman Akano, police commissioner for Plateau state, where Jos is the capital, cast doubt on the claim.

"Anybody can post anything on the Internet," he said, adding that the bomb blasts were not the usual method used by Boko Haram

The statement on the website also claimed responsibility for the church attacks.

Many attribute the unrest in Jos to the struggle for economic and political power between the Christian Beroms, seen as the indigenous ethnic group in the region, and the Hausa-Fulani Muslims, viewed as the more recent arrivals.

From AFP 2

In two separate attacks in the northern city of Maiduguri, suspected Boko Haram gunmen killed a policeman and retired police officer while three civilians suffered gunshot wounds, Borno state police spokesman Lawal Abdullahi told AFP.

This attack came barely a day after the sect claimed responsibility for multiple explosions in the central city of Jos on Christmas eve. At least 80 people were killed in those attacks and in reprisal killings.

The group also claimed to be behind the attack on three churches in Maiduguri on the same day in which six people were killed and a church was burnt down.

From AllAfrica.com

"We have gone around the five hospitals where casualties from the explosions and the violence that followed in Jos were taken," said Daniel Balarabe Gambo, deputy director of communications for the National Emergency Management Agency.

"The data we collated at these hospitals shows that a total of 80 people died from the incidents while 189 were injured."

[Some police say they doubt Boko Haram's claim of responsibility and claim the death toll was much lower, "but the emergency agency has insisted it was accurate."]

From AP, [NOTE: This site does not trust the writer of the AP story, Ahmed Mohammed. For more information on him, please read this article.]

A radical Muslim sect has claimed responsibility for the Christmas Eve bombings and church attacks in Nigeria that killed at least 38 people, and the group threatened new attacks to avenge local violence against Muslims.

"Therefore we will continue with our attacks on disbelievers and their allies and all those who help them," the statement said.

The radical Muslim sect is also known by a much longer Arabic name, which means "the organization of followers of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and champions of Islam and holy wars."

Comments: Typical Islamic terrorist narrative (also believed by many ordinary Muslims).

Boko Haram apparently is now claiming alleged violence against Muslims as an excuse for killing Christians.

It's the usual victim-card excuse, based on delusions of persecution, cause by paranoia resulting from belief in conspiracy theories, for Muslim terror.

There is also the Islamic supremacy of trying to impose Islamic sharia law on non-Muslims in Nigeria. They don't just want it for themselves. These fascists want to ram it down the throat of non-Muslims too.

Liberal-Left and other Muslims will add the usual socio-economic narrative of social and economic factors as excuses for Islamic terror.

The real reason for the Muslim violence however is that they want to impose sharia (Islamic law) on non-Muslims in Nigeria and continue the project of Islamizing Nigeria (convert everyone to Islam or force them to live as second class Dhimmi citizens) that was going on before the arrival of the British.

And what's going on in Nigeria isn't limited to there either. Muslim supremacists want to conquer and rule the whole world under a global caliphate (Islamic state ruled by a caliph or Islamic ruler who is both religious and political head).

The Islamic jihad conquest of non-Muslim lands is something that was started by Muhammad himself and continued throughout history right up to this day.

This is not to say that there aren't any Muslim victims. But looking looking at the global picture, Muslims almost always are terrorizing other Muslims or non-Muslims. And they always have local excuses for conflict, where ever they go. So don't mention it. We already know the story, which is that Muslims will get into some conflict and they will have some excuse. If you take away that excuse, then they will come up with another complaint. It's all predictable, but why aren't psychologist and psychiatrists speaking out?

As it has been argued before, Nigeria should split into two countries between Christian and animist south, and Muslim north, just like it is about to happen in Sudan. After the split, a separation barrier should be built like in Israel to keep out terrorists, and strict immigration policy adopted so that traitor immigrant terrorists or those who want to bring their Islamic ways, won't be allowed in, like it's happening in the West. If they want to live under sharia, they can go live in a Muslim country that has it.

3 Australian Muslims, 2 Lebanese & 1 Somali, (hate 'kaffirs' & al-Shabaab link) convicted of terror plot against Sydney's Holsworthy army barracks - Melbourne's Somali community supported the men during trial

From AFP

Melbourne men Wissam Mahmoud Fattal, 34, Nayef El Sayed, 26 -- both of Lebanese descent -- and Somali Saney Edow Aweys, 27 were found guilty of conspiring to prepare for or plan a terrorist act between February 1 and August 4, 2009.

"Islam is truth religion. Thank you very much," Fattal told the jury.

Meanwhile Somalis Abdirahman Mohamud Ahmed, 26, and Yacqub Khayre, 23, were found not guilty

From AAP (Australian Associated Press)

Wissam Mahmoud Fattal, 34, of Melbourne, Saney Edow Aweys, 27, of Carlton North and Nayef El Sayed, 26, of Glenroy were found guilty of conspiring to prepare for or plan a terrorist act between February 1, 2009 and August 4, 2009.

Abdirahman Mohamud Ahmed, 26, of Preston, and Yacqub Khayre, 23, of Meadow Heights, were found not guilty.

From The Australian

No weapons were found in the [police] raids. Police said the alleged terrorists planned to buy automatic weapons, but had neither the money nor connections to get them.

The jury was told the men had planned to attack the Australian army barracks at Holsworthy in Sydney, and to shoot as many people as possible until they were killed or overwhelmed.
Melbourne's Somali community came out strongly in support of the young men, describing them as “good boys from good families”, and dismissed fears that sections of their community had been radicalised by the extremist group al-Shabaab
Somali community leaders said the verdict [the acquittal of two of the five accused] went part of the way to vindicating the community's support for the men.
some of the men harboured deep antipathy towards Australia, with Aweys describing Australians as “infidels and declaring the Black Saturday bushfires were a punishment from Allah.

From BBC

According to a transcript read to the court, Fattal told undercover police: "If I find way to kill the army, I swear to Allah the great I'm going to do it."

From Herald Sun (Melbourne)

The home-grown terror plot was designed to bring a fatwa down on Australia and had its genesis in the seething anger among a small group of Muslim men, some of them refugees, at their belief Islam was under attack from the West.

They were believed to be connected with the Somali-based terrorist group al-Shabaab, and it was to Somalia that Khayre was sent to obtain a fatwa, or religious decree, justifying the attack.

The court heard when local clerics refused to provide a fatwa, or religious decree, to permit the plan, Mr Khayre went to Somalia to get one.

Much of the prosecution case was based on secretly recorded conversations between the men in which they discussed the plot and their attitude to the ``kaffirs'' or non-believers.

Mr Fattal tells his father he wants to be: ``The best one on Earth, the best martyr on Earth. The one who is killed by the false messenger.

Comments: What this case shows, once again, is that many Muslims suffer from 'delusion of persecution' (they are the ones killing and oppressing and yet believe themselves to be victims) and so do not acknowledge terror problem in their mist.

The problem is this delusion or distorted view (according to US' UK embassy) or way of seeing thing among Muslims. Such people are not rational and so can not be reasoned with, but still, some ways need to be devised to stop these irrational people from killing innocent people.

These Muslims also suffer from 'delusion of grandeur' (Saying things like 'Islam is the true religion' and hating the inferior 'Kuffar', 'Kaffirs', 'Infidels' or non-Muslims)

Despite claims by some that poverty causes terrorism, here we have once again Muslims, some of them refugees, in a Western country with all the opportunities and freedoms and yet hate the country that offers them so much and still turn to terrorism against it.

The point as Samuel Huntington pointed out long before 9-11 attacks is that
Islam's borders are bloody and so are its innards. The fundamental problem for the West is not Islamic fundamentalism. It is Islam, a different civilisation whose people are convinced of the superiority of their culture and are obsessed with the inferiority of their power —— Huntington's 1998 text The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of the World Order.
In a word 'Inferiority-complex'.

The real killer is not the Islamic terrorists. It is the political correctness by the feeble minded or agenda driven liberals and left-wingers that is preventing real effective action to neutralize the threat.

Islamic supremacism: Women's sport is "dirty" Western culture says senior Iranian cleric Golpayegani in opposition to President Ahmadinejad's stance

Women's sport is a humiliating "dirty" Western culture, says Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpayegani, a prominent cleric in the holy city of Qom, according to AP, in opposition to President Ahmadinejad who praised Iranian women medalists at the 16th Asian games at Guangzhou, China.1

AP reports that
"These games and others like them are creations of enemies so that Muslim women lose their Islamic chastity and dignity," he was quoted as saying.1

Golpayegani was also quoted as telling a group of female clerics that Western culture has a "dirty" approach toward women, even those in positions of influence.1
Iran permits only women sports without any male contact and women are barred from even attending male soccer games.1

RadioFreeEurope/RadioLiberty reports that Golpayegani said on November 30 that sending Iranian women to international sporting events is a "disgrace" that should be stopped.2

Ayatollah Abbas Kabi, a member of the Society of Qom Seminary Teachers, has also criticized the state TV for broadcasting women competing calling it "deplorable" and "bizarre."2

In 2008, Ahmad Alamolhoda, the Friday Prayer leader in Mashhad, described the participation of Iranian women in the Beijing Olympics, where a female rower Homa Hossein carried the national flag as "waging war on Islamic values."2

UPDATE: Correction

AP originally reported that the cleric who made the "dirty" comment was Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Ali Safi Golpayegani and that name was originally used in this article.

But AP has now made an announcement that it made a mistake and that the name of the cleric was Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpayegani and not his late brother Grand Ayatollah Ali Safi Golpayegani.

As a result the name has been change here accordingly.

Comments:

Calling Western culture "dirty" is just part of the Islamic supremacist ideology that views non-Muslims or infidels or Kuffar as inferior, while using victim-card and race-card by calling any criticism of Islam as 'racism', 'dicrimination' and 'Islamophobia'.

And as usual, this will be followed by deafening silence from women's right, anti-racist, anti-fascist and human rights organizations and people who only criticize the Christian West.

Note that this is coming from senior religious figures and not from some fringe minority, as politically correct elite apologists of Islamic extremism and some Muslims like to say in excuse.  Just a reminder to watch out for the 'minimizers' trying to 'minimize' the issue.

Other recent supremacist examples includes,
Muslims saying that water carried by Christian woman Asia Bibi was 'unclean' in Pakistan where Christians are considered "unclean"

Musa Sayed, 45, and Ahmad Shah, 50, awaiting trial and facing death penalty in Afghanistan for conversion to Christianity from Islam (Presumably there is no death penalty, or any penalty at all for Christians or anyone else if they convert to Islam.)

a Western couple being called "swine" and "infidels" by Hussein Didi in Maldives as several people looked on without raising any objections (They thought it was funny)

revelation that some Muslim weekend school textbooks in Britain taught that some Jews were turned into "apes"

fatwa by the National Fatwa Council of Malaysia that a child must be considered a Muslim even if only one parent was a Muslim (Its not equal and half-half but Muslims get all)

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki saying that Iran would not attack its neighbors because they were "Muslims" (probably meaning that it is okay to attack the lesser non-Muslims)
A recent article posted here on IranNazi.ir also highlighted not Islamic but racist anti-Semitic Persian supremacist ideas in Iran with links to neo-Nazis.

Last month, the body set up by Suadi Arabian government to issue fatwas issued a fatwa forbidding women from working as cashiers saying that mixing of unrelated men and women was forbidden.

Muslims like to portray, to people ignorant about Islam, their sexual repression and sex-segregation as protecting women and having higher sexual moral standards.

The quick dismissal to this dubious argument is to point out that in the Quran, pious Muslims are promised food, drinks, women and sex in the Islamic heaven! A god (in this case Allah) that promises food and sex as rewards for obeying him and treats women as sex objects and trophies to be won is a very questionable god. Some terrorists (see Abdel Shehadeh) believed that they would get 72 virgins for a heavenly orgy, if they died carrying out jihad terror attack. Some translations of the Koran even say that Qur'an 78:33 describes some females (houris) as having 'large breasts'.

As for women's right, to point just one example, Koran 4:34 tells husbands to "beat" disobedient wives, and the UAE supreme court ruled in October that Sharia (Islamic law) allows the husband to beat his wife and children if it leaves no marks.

Also keep in mind that the Islamic god Allah is a pre-Islamic Arabian pagan (moon?) god, and in many pagan religions there is sex in heaven with even gods having sex. Take the Greek and Roman pagan gods for example. So this heavenly sex shows the pagan elements in Islam. This further supports the thesis that Islam is a religion created by mixing elements from paganism, Judaism and Christianity with Muhammad's own ideas and modeled on Christianity (with violent jihad replaced with Jesus' peaceful message), where Jesus the messiah who came to fulfill Biblical prophecies, with Muhammad taking the place of Jesus and also coming to fulfill alleged prophecies (which prophecies and where? If they say in Jewish and Christian Bibles, they will get into trouble since there is none, except for the prophecies of a false prophet and the anti-Christ. The scriptures also contradict the Islamic account of things. If they then say that the Bible is unreliable, they contradicting themselves since the Koran says it is the word of god.). This is just a taste of some major points in the usual twists and turns in their arguments.

The funny thing is that the need by Muslims to cover up women in burquas and separated them from men seems to show, as someone suggested to me, that Muslims have such strong sexual lusts with such a low threshold for arousal that that even seeing women is likely to lead them into temptation. Are they that horny that even the mere sight of a woman turns them on to a dangerous level? This is not too surprising though given that every time they think of heaven and its rewards, there is always that thought hanging in there.

Asia Bibi (aka Aasia Bibi and Aasia Noreen) case summary - Christians unclean, pressured to conver to Islam, defending Christianity as blasphemy

A brief summary of some main points from Asia Bibi's case from a TIME magazine article.
A group of women farm workers were suffering in the heat

Aasia Noreen ... offered them water

[She] was a Christian, they said, and therefore her water was unclean — sadly, a common taunt

But rather than swallowing the indignity, she mounted a stout defense of her faith.

In a depressingly familiar pattern, [it] was twisted into an accusation of blasphemy

The district judge relied on the testimonies of three other women, all of whom bore animus toward her.

Noreen had long been under pressure by fellow farmworkers to convert to Islam, her family says.

The Lahore High Court has taken the controversial step of saying that it won't allow President Asif Ali Zardari to issue a pardon, a move that legal experts have said is unconstitutional.

Christians are subject to vicious prejudice in Pakistan, where there beliefs are said to make them "unclean." Municipalities routinely advertise jobs for cleaners with a note saying they would prefer Christian applicants. And defending their rights is not popular.

While no one has been executed for blasphemy yet, 32 people — including two judges — have been slain by vigilantes.
Liberal lawmaker Sherry Rehman said that although the blasphemy law was unlikely to be repealed, the positive result from this case was that “It's not a taboo subject anymore”.

Comment:

Where are those bleeding heart liberals, romantists and 'human rights' people, always concerned about the rights of terrorists, Islamists, Muslims and anything to do with Islam now?

And where are those moralizers who like using words like 'discrimination', 'prejudice', 'bigotry', 'hate', 'equality' and all sorts of other Newspeak words?

Too busy putting Christians, Whites, the US, the West, those fighting terrorism and those making legitimate criticism of Islam under the microscope to see the 800 lb gorilla in the room?

Oh and of course those hypersensitive Muslims that always gets enraged and protest any wrong, however minor, against Muslims are protesting now too as usual, but for Bibi's death this time.

There is a curious question as to why these discriminated and oppressed Christians don't use it as an excuse for terrorism?

The most important point from here is the fact that Muslims consider Christian defense of their religion as insults to Islam or blasphemy. But Christians who reject Islam need to explain the reasons for their rejection and those explanations would invariable involve showing how and why Islam is a false religion. And this is not to blaspheme but merely to explain one's belief.

The reason why this point is important is that there is a trend emerging in West where politically correct elites don't want anyone debating or criticizing anyone else in order to force through their dogma that everything and anything is good and equal so that there should be no choice or individuality (choice is 'discrimination') and that nothing is bad, except the questioning of their dogma by un-PC heretics.

So keep in mind the Islamic blasphemies and the politically correct (PC) blasphemies, and note the similarities between the two.

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki says Iran will never use force against its neighbours because they are "Muslims"

Iran Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told journalists on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue, a conference on Middle East security, concerning fear by its Arab neighbours over its nuclear program that
"We have never used our force against our neighbours and never will because our neighbours are Muslims"
The conference was opened by US secretary of state Hillary Clinton and those speaking there includes  Jordan's King Abdullah II.

Sources: AFP

Comment: Oh, so violence is allowed only against non-Muslims? How un-politically correct of Mottaki to say such things. If a Christian leader had said something similar, Muslims and PC censors would be outraged. But since it was said by a Muslim, everyone is quite and there is no criticism.

This shows the double standard of many Muslims and the politically correct elite censors. They will unfairly and harshly criticize and condemn with righteous indignation, non-Muslim over even something minor and insignificant but won't say a word against Muslims for exactly the same thing or something far worst.

This also proves yet again the Islamic supremacist beliefs held by many Muslims, who consider non-Muslims as inferior. Other recent examples includes the belief among some Pakistani Muslims that water carried by Asia Bibi, a Christian woman, was unclean, and a fatwa by the National Fatwa Council of Malaysia that a child must be considered a Muslim even if only one parent was a Muslim.

Asia Bibi's family in hiding after death threats, no immediate Presidential pardon and no repeal of the blasphemy law as protests held against her

Asia Bibi's lawyer has filed an appeal to the Lahore High Court against her death sentence for blasphemy.3

She had been visited in prison by Punjab governor Salman Taseer, who has appealed to the Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari for clemency.2

A report by minority affairs minister Shahbaz Bhatti, who is a Christian, recommending Bibi be pardoned and immediately freed,3 has also been submitted to the Zardari.2

The report, which was commissioned by Zardari, "concluded that the blasphemy case against Asia Bibi has been registered on grounds of personal enmity."2

Zardari has however decided not to immediately pardon her and has instead decided to wait and see her legal appeal process.3  He indicated that he may grant a pardon, a risky move given that his party's reliance on support of Islamists in parliament, if the appeal process takes too long.3

Nazir S. Bhatti, head of Pakistan Christian Congress (PCC) told AsiaNews.it earlier when news of Aisa sentence emerged that4
“According to the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the president of Pakistan or the interior minister have the power to withdraw any case,”4

“There are examples of cases of terrorism withdrawn by the government of Pakistan. Why then the Pakistani administration is silent on Asia Bibi’s sentence?”4

“In Pakistan, some 2.8 million Christians are treated as second class citizens, whilst Islamic government feel no shame to release Muslim criminals and terrorists,”4
Pope Benedict XVI last week called for Bibi's release2,3 saying her case highlights the persecution of Pakistani Christians3 who were "often victims of violence and discrimination."2

Meanwhile protests has been held against any pardon for Bibi and she has been provided with security in prison7 while her family has gone into hiding after death threats.2

Bibi's husband, Ashiq Masih, who works in a brick factory in the Shekhupura district near Lahore said1
"We are frightened. We are receiving threats, especially from clerics. They started demonstrations in the area,"1

"Yesterday there was a protest in Shekhupura. They said they will not leave Asia Bibi alive if she is pardoned."1
In the city of Multan Tariq Naeemullah, a leader of Citizen Front of Multan said during a protest, “We will resist if the government moves against the court verdict and attempts to amend the blasphemy law.”3

In the city of Lahore, Qari Yaqub, chief coordinator for a subsidiary of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) - a banned charity blacklisted by the UN as terror linked - lead a protest against Bibi.5

A nationally known mufti Muneer Ur Rehman, a leading cleric in Lahore, Hafiz Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer,6 and head of the Sunni Ittehad Council, Sahibzada Fazal Kareem5 also voiced opposition to any pardon for Bibi.

In Karachi, dozens of Christians have held their own protests against the law.3

Nasir Saeed from the UK office of Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS), which provides free legal support to Pakistan’s Christians said that such laws5
“foster an attitude of superiority among the majority-Muslim population, that it is somehow ok to mistreat Christians.”5
The Manifesto of President Zardari's Pakistan Peoples Party calls for the repeal of the blasphemy law but they lack the numbers in parliament to carry it out.6

Shahbaz Bhatti has therefore called instead for changes to the law instead, including making false accusations a crime, abolishing the death penalty and requiring higher courts to hear such cases at the start.3
