Suicide bombing by Pakistani Taliban kills 6 - 1 police, boys aged 7 & 9, 3 other civilians - and injures 19 in the town of Bannu near Afghan border

The suicide bomber on foot was targeting a police van in the town of Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near the Afghan border.3

According to AFP, the town 'lies close to Pakistan's lawless tribal belt on the Afghan border, an area which Washington has branded Al-Qaeda's global headquarters and the most dangerous region on Earth.'1

The attack killed two boys aged seven and nine, along with a police official and three pedestrians, according to Bannu police chief Iftikhar Khan.1

He said 19 others were also injured in the attack.1

The Associated Press reports that a spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.2

Comment: Will those, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, who are always outraged by inavoidable casualties resulting from the fight against terror (mostly due to terrorists hiding among civilians) be also outraged by terror attacks such as these?
