Algeria to arm civilians to fight terrorism

 Interior Minister Daho Ould Kablia said citizens in terror infested areas will be armed to fight against it, after a request was made by them.^1,2  During the 1990s, the government also armed citizens to fight an Islamic insurgency that left over 150,000¹ and up to 200,000 dead.²
