Pakistan says it will only fight terror if it serves national interest

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while speaking at Harvard university, said that Pakistan was committed to fighting terrorism but was "first and foremost, like every nation on earth, committed to preserving our national interest". A recent White House report to Congress said Pakistan avoids direct action against Afghan Taliban in order to gain influence there. India also says Pakistan should do more against anti-Indian Muslim terrorists, like those who carried out the 2008 Mumbain attacks.
