Democracy and demographics in Bahrain election

Shiites make up about 70 percent of the population but only contested and won 18 out the total 40 parliamentary seats during the election. They complain the minority Sunnis maintain control by gerrymandering and giving citizenship to Sunnis from elsewhere in the Middle East. The country is ruled by a Sunni dynasty and all important decisions rest with the King.
