Aid group volunteer Nima Ali Yusuf, a Somali native, charged in San Diego with aiding and recruiting for al-Shabab

 Nima Ali Yusuf, a 24-year-old permanent resident of the U.S.,¹ sometimes worked as a volunteer for San Diego-based African relief group which collects and sends clothes to Somalia.² She is charged with conspiring to provide personnel and money to al-Shabaab,³ and lying about sending money to Somalia.² The al-Qaeda linked al-Shabaab is listed as a terror group by the U.S.² Yusuf is the fourth Somali native in San Diego this month to be charged with aiding the Somali terror group after three men were arrested earlier.³

[It seems likely that Yusuf was seeking to infiltrate the aid group to explore the possibility of using it as a front group to support terror.]

Al-Shabaab executes two "evil" teenage girls alleged to be spies and "enemies of Islam"

 Ayan Mohamed Jama and Horiyo Ibrahim were executed by a firing squad in the Somali town of Beledweyne.⁴ The town's residents were forced to watch the execution.¹ Al-Shabaab commander Sheikh Yusuf Ali Ugas said the girls were "evil"³ and "enemies of Islam".²

Briton kidnapped in Somalia and reportedly taken to Islamist al-Shabab controlled area

 A British security consultant has been kidnapped in Adado, while accessing the security situation there for the charity Save the Children. He has been take to an area said to be controlled by al-Qaeda linked al-Shabab. Adado is also closely linked to Somali pirates.
